Farmer Market

There’s the gates mum as we drove in the gate to the farmers market on a cloudy sunday morning. Pippi, Oscar and my Mum were going to the farmers market. My Dad was going to meeting us there because he was working.

We parked the car and walked in my mum meet a friend of hers and they a had a long boring  talk then She meet her other friend Pip. She got a coffee while she got a coffee I went to find Dad he was in the food area and took him back to where the others were. My dad gave me and my brother ten dollars each to spend on anything we wanted.

First I went to the cupcake lady and got my favourite cupcake lemon passionfruit when I have it melts in my mouth and the taste is amazing. Slowly walking out the door I saw my dad and  went and got a waffle with him. Mum was sitting down and talking with Pip, Oscar and Pippi once I finished my waffle I had money left but I had to ask my dad for an extra 50 so I went and brought hot chips while my dad got a pizza for Pippi and Oscar.

While I  was eating my chips a person that looked after us came over with her family Oscar

asked Emma their oldest if she wanted to play tag and she did Oscar was in when she got in  her mum mekayla  said go for Matilda and she did my chips that were in my hand bouncing around in there cup. Then Emma had to go so we stopped running around the grassy area we were playing in.

When we finished we put all our rubbish in the bin and went to do the last of the shopping my dad had already left to go back to work. Went inside to get the veggies and dinner for that night mum went up to one of the stalls that sold veggies and some carrot broccoli and other things.We got this absolutely delicious pasta from a lady and this italian pasta sauce it was one of the best pastas with the sauce I had ever had in my life.    

I felt  excited and sad  when we left because I knew we would come back the next sunday and I really wished I could stay there all day and eat all the delicious foods.I really wished that I had another one of those cupcakes.

Ripper Rugby

• Pass to the hip

Today In P.E we were learning how to play ripper rugby  and catch and throw a rugby ball. At first I was really bad but after awhile I got the hang of it. I think I need to practise throwing from the hip and throwing behind myself because when we were in out teams I didn't chuck from my hip one or two times . I also think I need to practice getting free and getting the ball a lot more. Near the end of one of games of ripper we played I almost got a rip but I justed missed it. I need to improve my chucking from the hips and throw behind myself .

I felt quite happy when I had the ball and was running.

I really enjoyed this book it as action a mystery and a lot more  especially It started at mouseford academy cheering on nicky running in the big apple. Then  it went back straight to the beginning of when the five arrived in the big apple. The middle is  when they start  figure out all the clues because a man named phoenix is writing  threats Pamela's family and others . They went to the big apple because nicky was going to compete in the big apple marathon.In the end they solve the mystery in the end. I would read another one of the series

Recommendations

I think you would like this book if you have read one of geronimo stilton books so you get the story but it is a bit more girly. If you like action and mystery you would like this book.This book is for you 8 to 9 year olds.  

Octopus Aventure

Slowly I crawled along the the side of the van gripping tight without any sound. I made it to the window. Trying to get in but it was only open a little bit I sucked up and squeezed inside the window. I  landed with a thump the driver looked over he saw me I tried to escape but I was too late.

He caught me and shoved me in the box. Finally found my best friend I was happy to see her alive

Still we were going to die. My head gave the lid of the box a big hard bump it went flying off and landed on the drivers head. The driver lost focus. While we climbed to escape he caught me and sally and were shoved like toys back into the box. No point trying again he just catch us I said. We screeched to a stop and we heard a seat belt click and a door slam. We are done for I complained.

Our box was moving our door slammed we all of a sudden heard a sound of knives cutting. Scared we got put in a tank with hundreds of other octopuses we were swimming around try as hard as ever not to lose each other. It took a little while to look around the water started to get all murky and became hard to see.

Slowly we made our way to the edge and we wanted to escape so we slivered up the side it was only about 40 cm meters tall. We fell onto the floor in an instant it felt like we were flying. Crawling behind benches sneakily without a person looking we made the long run to the door and I reached my tentacle to the door handle and pulled it open. Luckily we both got out without a noise. At last were free we sally cried we headed for the ocean following cars and  trucks.

All farm dogs should be trained to avoid kiwis....

Yes side

First of all farm dogs should be trained in case one is on someones farm and the dog could kill it could kiwis could be anywhere. Farm dogs should be trained because there is one on your farm and they keep getting killed they won't be one of our icons. Farm dogs be trained because the kiwi is a endangered species and soon could be extinct.

They should all be trained.

All farm dogs should not be trained because they are there on natural instincts.They should just be themselves nothing else If you get them trained they might not listen or behave and just cause havoc. Farm dogs should not be trained because they are made for rounding up and animals and other thing.

Tramping in the bush

Crunch of leaves as we walked up the ranges it is 9 km and takes about 5 hours  Fleur Kelly and I we going up the ranges looking for native animals it was only a day trip lucky . Fleur was coming because she loves hiking and just loves the outdoors. Fleur is fun to be with she is fast and very perky, One of fleurs things she normally always wears is shorts and t-shirts she is wearing that now. Kelly had to come with us because my dad said we needed help and got lost. Kelly loves the outdoors Kelly is so much fun and active she is 22 years old.

We started to climb the steep mountain it was as steep as climbing. Our feet were stinging it finally became smoother and not as steep. Tui started to sing its tune it sounded so beautiful. Lying on the ground were tree branches all different shades of green. Flowing down the rock of the hills edge was a fresh waterfall the water was as cold as ice almost frozen but still gushing down the rock edge. The pine trees became closer together blocking the sun out it felt so cold fleur did not feel it felt like it was going to snow.    

We all became hungry we stopped and had a delicious morning tea with lemonade and biscuits. Kelly said” we better head off” fleur said she wanted to in the front so she did Kelly was at the back I was in the middle it. It started to get a little darker the trees were blocking the light in Kelly said “I’m sure we turned the wrong way” But we kept walking the trees started to give light. I told the others wasn't that where we had morning tea it was. Fleur you took the wrong turn we walked straight not the loop track that time. We briskly walked along we saw a weta hotel we opened it up there was three wetas one looked like a baby we shut it up and carried on.We came to a pitch black cave hidden among the branches.               

 

We ran over to it we looked inside it was so dark I flicked my flashlight on and looked around the cave walls were so dusty. That was why it was so hard to see inside” I don't think so” said Fleur and leaned in a little bit too far and fell into a deep hole.It was scary watching fleur wizz down the deep hole . She screamed as she fell she I shone my flashlight down it was dark. We all did not know what to there was in the cave panicking we could not get her out we thought for a bit but no one had any good ideas. Down in the cave fleur was complaining of a twisted knee. Fleur looked down at the floor there was dead rats and mice  they were all over the floor it looked like they had been there for centuries it was just white dirty skeletons and a skeleton hand it looked gross but like the rats and mice we tried to get her out but it was no use. We all did not know what to there was in the cave panicking we could not get her out

I suddenly have an idea Kelly” “would weaving flax work and then put it down the hole so we could pull her up” Yes that is a great idea but where do you get the flax” I saw some back there ok we went back and got heaps we took it back and started to weave it only took us 20 minutes to weave it was not that good but it we lowered it down it just made it to fleur. She grabbed on for dear life we heaved and heaved finally she got to the top we pulled her the rest of the way. Her knee was still aching so kelly put her on her back and we walked back down the hill.

Caving At Camp

Squelch Slurp  as I trampled through sticky mud. I listened to the car or truck go past. I started to climb up my hands got dirty from the sandstone. Waiting so patiently my turn

Gripping tight to the rope I went down the rope was burning my hands my feet were jumping down onto the rocks Miss Hill I learnt back, My feet touched the rocky ground. Crunch went my shoes on the rocks I looked in front of me there was big rocks and little rocks  even rocks that hung from the rock roof like icicles. Leaping climbing I got to where everyone was. I could hear  water was dribbling down the jagged rocks.

We had to go down a hole in single file line. We had to crawl through it was dark but the torches lit it up as there was like a small canyon with big and small jagged rocks everywhere, I looked up the roof was right above my head. Slowly went up the hole to the top of the hole smile says Miss Hill flash went the camera.

Slowly I heaved myself up my legs felt so stiff and sore. Briskly I walked and jumped back to the group. After a few pictures we headed back waiting again to go up my turn came quickly it was so much easier to go up you just held the rope steep by steep I put my feet on the rocks and pulled myself up.

Pippi rose

Pippi Rose

Pippi is my little sister she was born on the 31st of march 2011. Her hair color is a light blonde brown her fringe was covering her eyes so my Dad cut it. Her beautiful eyes are a cute brown.  She is very cheeky at night she climbs out of her cot at night and goes down to my mum and dads beds my dad always puts her back. Pippi goes to Playcentre in Havelock on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and sometimes on Thursday. Pippi has my mums old Ipad 1 she loves it we took the password of so she could get on with out asking us Pippi’s favourite game is mr fox and it plays music when you listen to it nearly every day it gets really annoying. She always runs away pippi when I was at jazz one day and my mum was doing the washing and oscar was who knows where he was and pippi very independent she is loves to do things without being bossed around by anybody or she will just yell. Pippi loves horses she rides a horse called candy kisses at my cousins farm in norseword dannevirke she only walks to the mailbox once on candy and just sits on her and she also likes dogs she loves to play with my nana’s dog at her house the dog is called Frith loves chasing Frith while she runs and jumps around. Pippi’s personality is cheeky, funny, cuddly and cute. Pippi has a soft toy called monty

called monty I got it in perth and she loved it ever since we got it’s fake fur is this light brown.    

Bush Safty

It was winter when bryan fell down the cliff. Bryan Managed to survive 3 days and was discovered on the saturday. He survived on sucking on snow he learned that before he went and he drank water from the the river before he left bryan put on almost all his warm clothes if he didn't he would of frozen lucky he was wearing wool. Things you need in the bush or tramping are a sleeping bag if you're staying the night and a thin rubber mattress, Food, water, compass, clothes. Before you go you you always tell someone where you are going and always check the weather before you go incase it rains.

The fish of maui

Maui’s brothers Roto, Mua, Pae and taha planned to go fishing one of the brothers sneakily whispered” To the other brothers don't tell maui all the other brothers are without telling”,they all agreed not to tell maui. they planned to go early next morning late that night maui  maui sneaked out to the canoe and found a place to hide. There for the rest of the night one move not one. sound. The brothers pushed the canoe out  When it was far enough maui brothers maui pounced up and told to go on further. Maui paddled threw the night by the light of the moon soon his brothers were all asleep. In the morning maui found his spot when maui’s brothers woke up they were all grumpy and unhappy. His brothers did not want to give any bate to maui so he struck himself to his nose and smeared blood onto his jawbone. Maui  flung his jawbone around his head and flung it into the ocean with a mighty power. The magic jawbone got stuck on a carving on a marae of a sleeping fish soon maui began to pull and heave with all his might it began to stir it came up very slowly finally it was at the surface maui said to his brothers I’m going to get my jawbone do not touch. His brothers whacked the smooth back with paddles oars because they didn't like maui coming so they hit the poor beast  .

That is why the north island of new zealand looks like a battered sting ray!

This morning me and my camp group made machines we made a lawnmower and  a washing machine.Our group argued over which idea we were going to do I think we could work without any arguments so we were quicker. We had to make all the thing out of our bodies the lawnmower while other groups found is heaps easier At first it was hard but as we got better it got easy we did not finish the washing machine. We had to make all the thing out of our bodies the lawnmower while other groups found is heaps easier. But for us it was hard we did a lot of talking trying to figure out how to make the lawnmower we had nearly finished when the  teacher told us to stop I think if we had a couple more minutes we would have finished. The washing machine we thought about how to make the washing machine but we were all talking over each other and we asked other groups but we tried them but they Didn’t work. At camp I think it will be very challenging at camp.

Powhiri

Yesterday we did a Powhiri with room 18 because Mr Cotrell is Maori  Before we did the porwiri miss garland and Mr Cotrell gave us a talk about Powhiri I learned heaps when we went and practiced. Some of it felt a little weird. When we had to watch the boys do the wero  When you are sitting down you a not aloud to smile or laugh. I found it hard not smile when it was the Wero I held it in but I felt like bursting out laughing. The wero is a type of challenge if you laugh or smile it is disrespectful for there culture if you laugh or smile you will get your head chopped off. Some words in Maori are hard for me but some words are quite easy. I learned heaps about a powhiri and heaps of Maori words. We all had to be in a waiata while the room 18 watched us

The Apple Tree Dilema

Blood

One, two ,three fifteen cracks my new record on my scooter because our gardener was mowing the lawns. I was seeing how many cracks I could go over but that time.  I crashed into the painful  footpath and grazed both my knees and my elbow the concrete felt  as hard as hard rock it also so felt like my arms had fallen into one million pieces it stung so bad. When I fell I began to cry loudly  our gardener came over and helped me to the back door and went and got my mum the our gardner returned to doing the lawn mowing. Blood was dripping from my knee it a little faster but it always slowed down again. I sat down on the deck my elbow was now bleeding tiny drips the drips got bigger. I dabbed both my legs and my elbow my mum was next to me on deck when I dabbed  it felt like a million bees stinging me it it really hurts they were both still bleeding but  not that much my elbow had stopped mum got a plaster for my elbow.Then we moved inside onto the couch. My hand were sore to my knees slowly stopped bleeding. My mum got me to plasters for both my knees. Soon we didn't sting. But they were still really saw for a little bit.

Volcano

OUCH! the lava’s steam is getting hotter and hotter the steam Its burning my feet I think my feet are burning off like roast pork on the BBQ. Just then the lava starts to bubble I got a little bit of one of the popping bubbles in my mouth yuck it tastes like burnt  toast disgusting I also got a little bit of rock  in my mouth from the side of the volcano a little crunchy. Bang! Crash! my ears were ringing like snakes hissing I think an Eruption was coming .Sorry if you can’t hear me my name is M.P.E how I got here fell into the the volcano crater  when i was doing my weekly check on the volcano.
BOOM! the volcano  erupts. Sadly I’m still in the volcano I looked up the sky was a dark shade of black I was still on my little ledge. The smell was getting really strong the smoke smelt like a burning rotten eggs. It was getting harder to breath the smoke. I tried climb but the rock was too  slippery. More rock got into my mouth this time it tasted slugs on burnt toast.

Night Time Mayhem

Mummy cries my little sister I turn the peter rabbits key mmmm goes the rabbit pippi go to sleep sleep i was getting as bored as just hanging upside down to I’m dizzy pippi finally shuts her eyes but i know she is only pretending.  I sing her a song but she is still not asleep my head is spinning as fast as a Roller coaster. She begins to talk oh no she kicks her blankets to end of her cot I pull them back what a night she is nearly asleep I creep out but she hears me what a disaster I go back. I pat her tummy as soft as a bunny's fur she slowly falls asleep now and then she talks to me tilda are you still there yes I say as quiet as a mouse. I slowly stand up as quietly but the bars shake and her eyes move she saw me o dear I lie back down soon she is asleep I waited a few minutes they went by quietly and slowly crept out of the room peace at last tilda she calls oh no I say back I go all over again’’ I’m coming I say’’.                        

Swimming

1. I smiled today when the the pool was warmer than it has been.

2. I thinks its important to know about swimming because if you don’t know how to swim you drown.

3. I will learn by people teaching me and practising every day to get better.

4. Today I practised how to do backstroke because I would like to get better.
